In my blog hopping yesterday morning I stumbled across Stacey's blog and her curtain call color challenges. And well you know I am always up for a good challenge and this week's color combo Curtain Call Act 39 was *screaming* my name!!!!! I mean as soon as i saw it I knew what stamp set I was using for this baby........and then I happened upon the Stamping 411 blog and their totally cute Saturday Sketch Challenge (160) for this week and thought it would be perfect for my color challenge card.........so this card combines two challenges in one (don't you love when you can pull that off??) The stamp set is Just Believe and I think it just might be my favorite new set from the SU catalog. It is just *so* pretty!!!!! I have already seen so many fabulous samples made using this set!!!! LOVE it!!!!! The color combo called for Wild Wasabi and man can I tell you how excited I am that I am a HUGE hoarder.....remember this ribbon!?!?!??! This was available when Wild Wasabi was first introduced as an in color. Well SU brought the paper back but not the ribbon....good thing I have a few rolls of this stuff tucked away in my stamp room cause sometimes you just need a little wild wasabi ribbon :)
Materials used (all SU unless noted otherwise): just believe; wild wasabi, certainly celery, crumb cake, shimmery white; certainly celery, crumb cake ink; scallop border punch; wild wasabi double stitched ribbon; labels die; rhinestones; paper piercer
I'm hoping to get to the NJ Ballooning Festival this weekend. They release 125 (or more) hot air balloons twice a day and you get to oooh and aaah at the wonder of them. I think that the little lady is going to *love* it!!!! Now to just decide when.....Friday night they are having fireworks (always fun), Saturday night they are doing what the call the balloon glow where the balloons fly at night and use their torches to light them up like little (ok big) lanterns (sounds gorgeous) OR Sunday.....ya see Sunday Rick Springfield is going to be performing and man who doesn't love "Jesse's Girl"?!?!?!?!? I'm torn since Sunday that would really be *just* for me where as the other two days Elizabeth would love it......ah decisions decisions......
Anyway, thanks so much for stopping by today!!!! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!!! :)
