Today my Simple Sunday card is a very basic card. Seriously super simple layout and design, one stamped image and some ribbon. But I think it's because of the simplicity of this card that makes it work. I was originally going to add a sentiment to these cards but I didn't want the teachers to feel like they had to use them to send thank you cards to the kids and I didn't like any of my other sentiments (crazy right?) SO the cards got left blank. But then the card looked naked so I added a few sparkly swarovski crystals to finish off the card. The image panel is popped up on dimensionals to give it a little more interest. I made each teacher 8 cards- 2 colors each. The rose red purse included this card as well as a basic grey/rose red combo. The basic black purse included black/mambo melon and black/bermuda bay cards. The sahara
sand purse included cherry cobbler/early espresso and cherry cobbler/daffodil delight cards.
Toy Story 3 was AWESOME!!!! If you have seen any of the previous Toy Story movies this one is a do not miss! Excellent! And while I was at the theater I picked up tickets to see the new Twilight Movie!!!! I'm going to the special showing-all three Twilight movies in one fun filled night!! Can't wait!!!! (and yes I realize I am a full grown adult and not a teenager, but man do I love these books/movies)
Not quite sure what's on the agenda for Father's Day today but I'm sure it will be something fun. My DH is working this morning so we'll celebrate when he gets home this afternoon. Elizabeth made his a gorgeous card that I'll share with you tomorrow after my hubby opens it. She did everything by herself, including stamping the image.
