So I've been dealing with some back pain now since, oh last September. Went to the doctor-he ran a bunch of blood work, took some xrays and told me he didn't know what was wrong. Then Chris had me take some OTC antacids and woohoo!!! no more pain!!! Except it came back :/ It took a few months but slowly steadily the pain has been here more often than not. And with the pain comes worry. What is *wrong* with me??!?!?! I don't feel like myself, I am off...and this ever constant throbbing in my back, well it never completely goes away. So today while complaining to Chris that it was a very painful morning for me, he did what I'm sure he's wanted to do for a while. He came home from work (early) packed the kids in the car and drove me to the emergency room. We got there a little after 2pm. Lucky for us it wasn't super busy. Sadly though because I needed to have not eaten for 6 hours I had to wait to get the U/S until around 6pm. And the verdict??? Gallstones. Exactly what Chris told me was my issue way back in October. Nothing that needed to be addressed tonight but I'm sure it will soon. So now I am back home, still in pain but happy to have an answer to the mystery pain that has been plaguing me for the last several months. And I'm pretty sure that Chris feels very pleased with himself for getting it right *wink* (and to be fair, my sister in law Thais also has been telling me she thinks it's my gallbladder for months too now!! It's a great thing having "medical" people in your family!!!)
