Sidelined :/

*sigh*  I have been temporarily (I hope) sidelined from stamping due to some medical issues.  I've got some back/nerve pain issues that have pretty much rendered my left arm, occasionally right arm, useless.  Being a lefty makes it pretty difficult too....SO I've had to stop stamping for a while until the pain/numbness subside.  I started PT this morning so hopefully I can get back on track soon.  Until then, I will miss you and all my stamping fun!!  Hope to be back soon :)

Ewe Who!

Happy Sunday!  A cute and simple little card for you.  I (might have mentioned before) am *so* ready for spring to arrive.  This little stamp just says "spring" to me so I just could not resist using it.  I just barely colored in the wool and then I covered these fuzzy little ladies in sparkly ultra fine glitter.  They shimmer and shine *love*  I added a few paper flowers to add to the "spring"iness of the card.  I colored both the flower and the rhinestone with my copics to match the card better.

Not really sure what I am going to do with this card but I feel like it will bring a smile to someone's face :)  I mean how can it not?!?!? Look how cute they are!!!

Celebrate YOU!

This is my first time playing along with the ColourQ color challenge.  I "found" them through a link from another blog that I regularly read and when I saw this week's Challenge #74 colors I *had* to play along!!!  I love these colors together!!!!  Best part???  It can *totally* work as a "man card".  I am so man card challenged but I think this one would work!  I wanted to add a little fun to this card so I added a strip of pompom trim (LOVE that stuff!!!) and then a few curly ribbons.  I love making curled ribbon-it's such a cute look and *so* easy to do.  You wrap some ribbon (must have some polyester in it) around a dowel, secure ends with clothespins, and then bake them in the oven at 275* for about half hour or so.  When you remove them from the dowel the ribbon keeps this curly-q shape! Fun!!!

We had a little teaser of spring the last few days but today we are once again reminded that it is still in fact winter.  It is SO cold out today (well, I guess not really but it just seems it since we've had such nice weather recently).  *sigh* at least the sun is shining and the snow is melted......could be a lot worse :)

A little Mojo for your day

This week's Mojo Monday sketch is a fun one!  I always love the last week of the month sketches since they offer such fun shapes :)  I dug (literally) this little stamp out of the depths of my stamp room.  It's been *far* too long since she's been used.  I am SO ready for spring to arrive and thought she fit my longing perfectly.  I colored her in using my copics and added a touch of stickles for the flower center.  I used the Fun Flower sizzix die to make the flower.  The flower is finished off by a fabric brad in the center.   I *love* this card!!!  I am SO pleased with how it turned out. Just one of those cute little cards to brighten anyone's day!

I've been "bad" about playing along with challenges lately even though I love them!!  I'm ready to jump back in with both feet though :)  Challenges give me a great starting point for my stamping sessions.  I find that once I do a challenge card or two, I'm on a nice stamping roll.  Thanks for hanging in with me while I've been slacking a bit.  I do appreciate it!

I ain't lion

Quick and easy little card for you today.  This cute little lion stamp is *old*!!!  I think he is one of the first stamps I purchased way back when I started stamping.  Since March is starting this week, I thought I would bring March in like a lion myself (and maybe spare myself some nasty weather *wink*).  I wanted to make this a simple card though so rather than color in my lion I paper pieced him.  Such a fun, quick way to add some color to your image :)  A little fuzzy flocking for his mane and he is done!  Super simple, super easy, SUPER cute!

well.....

so the week hiatus turned into almost a month :/  Turns out I had an unexpected gallbladder removal about 2 weeks ago.  The actual recovery took about a week and then it's been about another week to get back to "life".  Things have been a little crazy and sadly the blog (and stamping) have gotten the back burner.  *sigh* but it's slowly getting back to "normal" so I should have plenty to share soon enough :)

I finally "forced" myself to get down into the stamp room and make the thank you cards for Elizabeth's birthday party (eeek!  which was a full month ago-shame on me!!!!).  I made them SUPER simple so I could get them done fast!  It was hard (for me) to leave them quite so "plain" but I figured getting them out was more important than getting them embellished.  I did have to add just a teeny tiny bit of glitter in the flower centers, I couldn't let them go without *any* bling!!!

Bear with me......

I'm alive, I promise!!  Taking an unexpected blogging hiatus.  Came home from FL sick :(  and I just didn't have the energy to stamp (SO sad I know).  I'm feeling better (yay!!) but somehow got inspired to *finally* unpack ALL my stamping stuff and move into the "bat cave"...ahem my new craft room.  SO.....since I'm a "needs everything to get messy before it gets clean" kinda gal, there is NO stamping going on right now.  Bummer I know but I'm finding things I kind of forgot I had so that mean LOTS of cool and cute cards headed your way once I "move in". I'm giving it a week and then I've got to do some stamping-I've got cards to make....so bear with me for another week and then I'll be back with lots of cute things to share with you!!!

Frosty and Sweet

I'm not quite sure what I would do if there happened to be a penguin in my cupcake but he sure is cute no?  Seriously simple card today-like one of those "I should be embarrassed" easy cards.  I didn't even do any kind of embossing on the background paper.  Just a simple run of ribbon down the center and then a cute little scallop edge.  A few pearls give it a little something something but not too much.  Just a SIMPLE fun little birthday card :)  Enjoy!

*sigh* vacation is officially over. It's always so sad leaving Disney and coming home but once we're on the way home I can't wait to get back!  Luckily we have off from school tomorrow to get ourselves settled back into "life" again :)   Hopefully this week I'll be able to get back to participating in all the stamping challenges I love.  If not this week then definitely next......

Birthday Princess

Yesterday was the little lady's 5th birthday (yikes how did *that* happen?!?!?!??!)  She's been lucky enough to spend every birthday in Disney World so far and since she was three she's been to the Bippity Boppity Boutique for a princess makeover for her birthday as well.  So it was only fitting that I make her a princess birthday card :)  Now truly I should have made this card in red since that's Elizabeth's favorite color but I thought a pink princess was just too cute.....she'll just have to deal *wink*

Five years ago today I got to meet this little person for the very first time.   From the moment she was put in my arms it was love at first sight.  She made me who I am today......she made me a Mother.
