well I can tell you from experience that give a grown man enough rope and he'll bring a puppy home too :) Actually even without the rope, you might find yourself with a cute little new pup! It *almost* happened to me last weekend...and let me tell you it was a very close almost too! We have 2 dogs already which is the only reason I think I am not the proud new owner of the cutest little beagle puppy you could ever find.....but there were a few minutes there that I thought that we might just become his new forever home. And let me be honest, his little face was SO adorable I wouldn't have minded one bit if he "followed" us home! That's actually how we ended up with my Jack Russell....we saw him, fell in love and HAD to take him home! He's a little crazy and most days he makes me nuts but I love my little Opie...I'm very glad we "found" him that day :) And my other pup??? Well we saw her in an emailed picture and drove to NC that weekend to get her...what can I say I guess we're both dangerous with "too much rope" *wink*
Anywho.....you didn't come here to listen to me ramble on about puppies (even if he was just the cutest little pup I have seen in a looooooong time *sigh*)..This card uses this week's Curtain Call (Act 49) colors-real red, soft suede, sahara sand, basic black and very vanilla. I'll admit that these colors were tough for me but it *is* a challenge so.... I used one of my new Elzybells stamps (so sad that they are out of business :( I am going to miss seeing new cute stamps like this). I saw this stamp and thought of my husband so I made this for him. I colored the pup to look like my little Opie since he kind of just "followed" us home one day. I opted to keep this pretty free of "stuff" since it's for my DH...he's not really into the "stuff" I don't think he gets it :) But I couldn't resist just a teeny tiny bit of ribbon!
Materials used: boy and dog (elzybells); real red, soft suede, basic black cs (SU); vintage cream cs (PTI); sahara sand dp (SU); tuxedo black (memento); copics; soft suede ribbon (SU); nestabilities (spellbinders)
I have my hostess club tonight (I had to cancel on them last week since I wasn't feeling well) and I am super excited to make some really cute 3D items with them tonight. I hope they love them!!! Then I'm looking forward to a relaxing (and rare) weekend with the hubby off of work. Not sure what's on the agenda but it will be nice to have some family time!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a wonderful weekend!!! :)
